‘Topliss’ Headsail Roller Reefing & Furling Luff Spar with swivel halyard system.Manufactured in New Zealand by Topliss Bros to a high standard of craftmanship throughout. The use of marine-grade alloys and 316 stainless steel for all components ensured a long working life in the marine environment. This system was designed for reefing and furling, utilising normal masthead halyard hoisting, therefore weaknesses such as loaded forestay swivels, halyard compression loadings on luff spar, etc, were completely eliminated, and all reefing and furling could be carried out from the comfort and safety of the cockpit. Two models were made, Model 250, for yachts with a forestay of 10mm-12mm, and Model 180 for yachts with a maximum forestay of 8mm. NO LONGER IN PRODUCTION |
